After enrolling into culinary school chef lex worked various jobs in the restaurant industry learning every role from serving, bartending and hosting before finding her passion in the kitchen. This quickly led to her working at several restaurants throughout New Jersey and New York eventually became a private chef after working in a corporate cafeteria of an investment banking firm.
Her clients at the firm encouraged her to pursue her dreams where she landed her first celebrity client Angela Simmons. From there she learned the power of social media. Angela introduced her to many of her friends and promoted her business which led her to her first NBA client Carmelo Anthony and actress Lala Anthony in 2016
This skyrocketed Chef Lex’s career and introduced her to the inner sanctum of the NBA world and many notable athletes and entertainers. In 2020, during the pandemic, Chef Lex took a chance on herself and her entrepreneurial prowess by embarking on an unprecedented opportunity with the NBA itself. Chef Lex was the only chef, external to the NBA teams, who was allowed inside of the bubble to cook for players and staff. Her pop up restaurant Comfort Kitchen was a huge! This opportunity created a viral moment when her story was told on Business Insider. From that point on Chef Lex has had on her entrepreneurial as well as chef hat. Launching Chef Lex Grant and Co. was a pivotal moment for her brand where she has the opportunity to vet and place chefs with high net worth clients.
The floodgates opened in 2022 when she had the amazing opportunity to interview for the Dallas Mavericks where she is now the Executive Performance Chef of the team. She redesigned the entire kitchen space and created a culture of excellence within the hospitality experience of Dallas mav's kitchen.
